The Strode Arms sits in the centre of the ancient village of Cranmore, opposite the duck pond, not far from the market towns of Frome and Shepton Mallet.
This eighteenth century country inn will delight anyone in search of great food, an excellent range of drinks and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Full of character, it is the perfect place to curl up in front of the fire with the newspapers in the winter or enjoy a summer’s day on our sun-trap front terrace watching the ducks go by.
We love dogs at The Strode Arms; Harley, our pub puppy, is busy making friends with all our four-legged visitors and do bring your horse to the pub for a drink too (we can always find a spare carrot).
Pay us a visit, try our new summer menu and meet our young, dedicated and enthusiastic team. We look forward to welcoming you to The Strode Arms – why not join us for Father’s Day lunch or try one of our special offers. All the details are on our Events page. And we’ve now got a free pool table and dart board so come along and play.
Don’t forget to book for Father’s Day – not many tables left
Our delicious bar snacks are always available when we are open, including the best pork pies with our Strode chutney and other goodies
